Outdoor Experiences Supporting Wellbeing

Wild N' Well Outdoors offer a range of outdoor experiences to suit your needs. My goal is to support learning, development and wellbeing, using the benefits of nature. As part of the work  Wild N' Well Outdoors offers Forest Schools, Bushcraft and Wilderness Therapeutic work for groups of children and young people.

Forest School is a child-led learning process offering children and young people opportunities for hands on education in the outdoors. Through regular interaction with a woodland and a familiar group, participants engage in a wide variety of learning including curriculum based and personal development.

"With Luke's support and experience during my sons time at school he managed to keep him focused. My son has ADHD among other things and he always knew his calm place was with Luke and Forest School. Luke is an excellent role model and support network for my son but myself also. Thank you Luke. (Parent of a 9 year old accessing Forest School and 1-2-1 support.)

Bushcraft  can be delivered as a one-off focused session or a rolling course where participants can learn the key elements of bushcraft such as fire lighting, shelter building, natural navigation, water purification and tool use. Bushcraft has many benefits such as links to school curriculum, inspiring new elements of learning or interests, and can be a therapeutic process.

Wilderness/Outdoor Therapeutic Sessions include elements of Forest School and Bushcraft but approach the activities in a more flexible manner and offer more time for reflection and relaxation. Sessions are tailored to meet the needs of clients and are adjusted as the programme develops taking a participant-led approach. The content of the sessions will initially be determined by the age and the perceived abilities of the group.

‘Fantastic bespoke programme devised by Luke. The young people looked forward to each session and got so much out of them. It was brilliant to see them grow in confidence and stature each week. I would highly recommend.’ (Safeguarding, Welfare and Pastoral Officer at a Sandwell School)
